**Hero Shot Update**

*The Last Ride*

Happy Sunday! It's a great day to be an American! What an amazing way to kickoff the day then to watch US and Canada battle for the Gold in hockey. During the medal ceremony(Team Canada) I was reminded that you can work countless hours, be the best there is and still fall short of your dreams. Mom(Stacey) asked, "why are they sad, depressed? " My response "Nobody plays for Silver, especially the Canadians!" This is an opportunity of a lifetime and what these players dream of! To win Gold! As I look back at the last 9 years I can relate to both the Canadians and the Americans. In hunting you can always have the highest of highs and lowest of lows. This sport will humble you! I never do anything to finish second. With Hero Shot I feel we won the Gold!

Now to the depressing part! I started Hero Shot 9 years ago for a few reasons. To provide a world class experience that I felt others were lacking. Most importantly to give back to the men and women that have put their life on the line to keep us free. I honestly thought this would be a couple year journey. "An experiment." However it turned in to much more than that. Friendships being made; From my Alabama crew to Massachusetts crew, Randy from VA, Rich the snake man in Cali, John in Missouri, to Hat Trick Bledsoe, and my Okies from Oklahoma and Lil Morgan and everyone else that was a part of the Hero Shot Family.

With that being said we are shutting down our operation. With the increased land prices we simply can't compete. We hope that each and everyone of you enjoyed your experience as much as we enjoyed hosting you! It was truly an honor!

I am going to keep this page up for a few months. I would be honored if you posted your favorite memory or memories at Hero Shot Outfitters!

Retired CSM Army Dwight N. Evans Jr. knocked one down on the last morning of the second firearm season. This one is really special. Dwight started hunting later in life and is a sponge of soaking up information. It's awesome to see him grow into a great woodsmen and hunter. We always say there are hunters and then there are killers. Dwight is definitely a killer! Congratulations Dwight on your best buck to date!

Well the Bama Boys are back in camp and you know some bodies are going to hit the floor! Retired CSM Army Pat Lunsford made it happen again the other evening on this beautiful ten point! He also went out and did a little doe patrol the next day! Great job Pat! Great shooting and always a pleasure having you in camp!

Easton Chasteen from Oklahoma is also 3 for 3 here at Hero Shot. He took it down to the 11th hour on the last evening but connected on a beautiful buck. We enjoy having Easton and his family in camp every year. Great hunters and even better people! Can't wait to do it again next year!

Bud Pollard wasted little time on the opening weekend of gun season at Hero Shot Outfitters.He made a great shot on the dagger buck. Bud is 3 for 3 here with all of his kills coming on opening day! Great job buddy and its always a pleasure having you in camp! See you next year!
