What a productive week. 🙌🏻It was painstaking work putting up these windowsills, and trim around them, filling in the little holes with putty, sanding them and painting them all so the window blinds could go up in the main room. 😬 But it was worth it. The suite looks like a home now!

And I got a little excited and ordered some furniture. More is on its way!!!

Every little detail is coming together, one project at a time. ❤️

We added these beautiful glider benches to the porches—because there’s something special about slowing down, sipping your morning coffee, and gently rocking while the world wakes up around you.

I also planted blueberry bushes in the planters beside each porch. My hope is that one day our guests can step outside, pick a handful of fresh blueberries, and enjoy a sweet little reminder that some of life’s best moments are the simple ones.

Bliss Acres Retreat isn’t just being built… it’s being filled with comfort, intention, and little touches that make it feel like home. We can’t wait to share it with you. 🫐🌿💙

The custom cedar shutters are currently in the works, and I am so excited to see them come together. These shutters are being handcrafted specifically for Bliss Acres, using beautiful cedar that will add warmth, character, and rustic charm to the retreat.

It’s amazing to watch each piece of this dream take shape. From the porches and trees to these custom details, every addition helps create a peaceful and welcoming place where future guests can slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty around them.

I can’t wait to see these shutters installed and another piece of the Bliss Acres vision brought to life. ❤️

What an A-MAZING day! ❤️
Thank you, Lord, for Your protection and blessings. Today was a big step forward—the porches were delivered and installed, and my twin weeping willow trees were planted. 🌿
These special touches are being added with one goal in mind: creating a peaceful, beautiful place for you to relax and reconnect. One day, you’ll be able to sway beneath these willow trees in a hammock, gather around a picnic table, or simply sit and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Every detail is being thoughtfully created to provide a truly blissful stay. 🙌🏻

Today, this dream got a fresh coat of paint.

What began as an idea scribbled in notebooks and carried quietly in my heart is slowly becoming real. This barn will one day welcome writers, dreamers, storytellers, and seekers of quiet spaces to create.

There is still work ahead, but today felt significant. The paint isn’t just paint—it’s progress. It’s proof that dreams are built one step, one project, and one leap of faith at a time.

Someday, words will be written here that haven’t yet found their way into the world. For now, I’m grateful for this milestone and excited for what’s to come.

You know they say, when you lose someone close to you, it puts life into perspective. I can attest to the fact that it’s true. Our family suffered a great loss! But with that, came the desire to get these suites going because life is precious, and taking care of your mental health is so important. That’s exactly what Bliss Acres is all about. Reconnecting you with God, nature and yourself.
I’m excited to see the progress in just one short day. We are getting ready for a retaining wall and for the rest of the concrete to be poured.
Y’all say a prayer for me, this is a lot to undertake by myself!
