Today is the last day of the season and, boy, has it been a great one out here! A day outdoors deserves a good meal at the end of it.

Whether you’ve spent the day golfing, exploring the area or relaxing at your campsite, stop by Sunny’s Grille for a casual meal in a welcoming setting. Settle in with your travel companions, swap stories from the day and enjoy the slower pace of fall at Likely Place.

Sunny’s Grille is open to resort guests and the public, so you don’t have to be staying with us to stop by.

We love hearing how guests discover Likely Place, sometimes completely by accident! James Tiner stopped for the night while traveling by RV from Portland to Reno and found much more than a place to park.

An unexpected, very interesting find kind of out in the middle of nowhere. This is not some fancy RV resort, it is a very well-run, clean, spacious, homey kind of place with a golf course. ... At night with no moon the sky was brilliant out here. We saw the Milky Way from one end of the heavens to the other. I could see coming here with a group of people and really enjoying a nice getaway. Even better if you play golf.

Thank you, James! We love when an overnight stop turns into a place worth coming back to.

Unplugged at Likely

Sometimes the best getaway is the one without a packed itinerary.

September is an ideal time to experience the quieter side of Likely Place. Pour another cup of coffee in the morning. Take a walk around the property. Play a round of golf without rushing. Read outside your RV or sit around the campsite and simply enjoy the view.

Our rural location is part of what makes Likely Place special. There are fewer distractions, less noise and plenty of room to reconnect with the people you came with, or enjoy a little time to yourself. Consider this your invitation to slow down before the busy fall season begins.

Cooler Nights, Brilliant Skies

Fall brings cooler evenings and plenty of reasons to stay outside after dark.

Likely Place’s remote location and limited light pollution provide spectacular views of the night sky. On a clear evening, give your eyes 20 to 30 minutes to adjust to the darkness and see how much you can spot. Bring a blanket, turn off unnecessary lights and ask about borrowing our telescope for an even closer look.

The new moon arrives Sept. 21, creating especially dark conditions around that time for stargazing.

An unexpected very interesting find kind of out in the middle of nowhere. On an RV trip from Portland headed to Reno Nevada we need it and overnight spot. This is not some fancy RV resort, it is a very well-run clean spacious homey kind of place with a golf course. I did not get to play golf but I did walk around to take a look best I could and it looks very nice. There is an on-site restaurant with some outdoor seating and home cooking kind of food on the menu. At night with no moon the sky was brilliant out here with very little Ambien. We saw the Milky Way from one end of the heavens to the other. I could see coming here with a group of people and really enjoying a nice getaway. Even better if you play golf.
