Once upon a time, not too long ago,
I’d have given my life for what this country stood for,
A beacon of hope, a land of the free,
A place where dreams were meant to be.

But today, the winds have changed their course,
The ideals I cherished seem lost, of course.
Now, I’d give my life to shield my kin,
From the chaos and turmoil that lies within.

For family is the anchor in this stormy sea,
A haven of love, where we can be free.
Though the world outside may twist and turn,
For them, my heart will always yearn.

So I stand guard, with love as my guide,
Protecting my family, with unwavering pride.
For in their smiles, I find my peace,
A timeless bond that will never cease.

(In English so the young people understand how good it America once was)
