Some days, your heart just needs a reset.

This is Stella. She left her doggy suit over a year and a half ago, but her presence? Still strong, still sacred.

There’s something about gazing into the eyes of a pure old soul like this—it melts away the anger, frustration, and noise of the world.

My hope for humanity? That we each find that kind of unconditional love… within ourselves.

For everyone who has known the unconditional love of a pet—this one's for you.

I was lucky to have my Stella by my side for 15 years. She left her doggy body about a year and a half ago, and yes, I miss her every single day. But as I’ve traveled through South America this past year, I’ve been blessed to meet many “Stella-Nators” along the way—dogs who carry her spirit in their own unique way.

This week in Santiago, I encountered another Stella. Seeing that she was part Chow, I had no expectation that she would ever approach me. Instead, I simply sat at a distance, sent her love, and enjoyed being in her presence.

This morning, after my four-mile run, I greeted her as usual. Then, something unexpected happened. She got up—slowly, carefully, her aging body struggling for balance. She’s an old soul, no doubt. And then, she walked toward me.

She let me pet her, rub her ears, and then, to my surprise, she rolled over, inviting a belly rub. As I stroked her fur, I sang Stella’s Song. Tears flowed—grief meeting gratitude, love mingling with loss.

And then, it was time to part. I stood and asked, “Stella, how do I know it’s really you?”

And that’s when the magic happened. The Stella-Nator gently placed her chin down on the concrete—the very same way my Stella used to say, “Hello.”

As I walked away, our eyes locked. She never lifted her chin, just watched me, tracking my every step as I continued forward.

What an incredible blessing.

A Beautiful Encounter and a Reminder to Keep Going

After spending some time in this beautiful church doing a lot of “energy” work, I was honored to meet another “Stella” as I exited. There are just no words to adequately express the gratitude I felt when I saw her again.

This beautiful four-legged soul was lying at the church exit. She had the same spirit as my Stella—the same soft fur and calm nature. I chose to lie down beside my Ecuadorian Stella, to be in her loving physical presence again. Eyes locked, tears shed, spirits connected.

Lately, I've been feeling very frustrated with myself as I continually show up for Souls Healing Humanity, giving away Holistic Scaffolding™ to anyone who wants it, but so few people seem interested.

However, I trust the universe, and “Stella” was sent to remind me NOT to give up on the humans!

Just over six months ago we arrived in St. George, Utah. This was Stella’s final “Retirement Home.”

Bitter sweet as Stella’s physical presence is not what it used to be but I am so blessed as her incredible spirit continues to enjoy my adventures!
