Raising a glass to our friends downtown! 🍻
A huge tip of the hat to the Stoudt family for nine incredible years of stewardship and for building the Bulls Head Public House and Lititz Springs Inn into the award-winning destination it is today.
We are thrilled to see this historic landmark pass to the Clair family, ensuring it stays in local hands committed to preserving that legacy. Here’s to honoring the past and celebrating the next chapter of Lititz hospitality. Cheers! 🤘
The Lititz Springs Inn and Bulls Head Public House will welcome new owners in early February as the property comes under the stewardship of the Clair family. The planned transition reflects a shared commitment to continuity, care, and preserving the experience guests have come to know and trust since 1764.
For the past nine years, the inn and pub have been owned and carefully managed by the Stoudt family. During that time, the property has remained a cornerstone of Downtown Lititz, offering familiar hospitality rooted in tradition. Both the inn and pub were also the recipients of several awards and national recognitions during this period, including “Best Beer Bar in Pennsylvania” by CraftBeer.com, “Best Beer Bar in America” by USA Today, and “Best of Weddings Hall of Fame” by The Knot.
“This is a huge win for the Lititz community,” said David Stoudt, current owner of the Lititz Springs Inn and Bulls Head Public House. “The inn has always been more than a business; it’s part of the fabric of this town. It was important to me that it remains in the hands of a local family who truly understands that responsibility.”
Guests across the property can expect no changes to day-to-day operations. The same team, leadership, and approach to hospitality will remain in place, ensuring the experience stays consistent and uninterrupted.
"Your favorite bartenders will still be here to greet you with a pint and a smile, the dining room will still be your go-to-place for your date nights, business lunches, and family dinners, and our events team will work to make your big moments as magical as they always have,” said Erin Stroyan-Peduzzi, General Manager of the Lititz Springs Inn & Bulls Head Public House. “We look forward to continuing to serve the Lititz community and our guests from around the world.”
The Clairs will be the 22nd family to own and operate the inn since the Moravian Church sold the property to a private citizen—Samuel Lichtenthaler—in 1854.
“Over the past nine years, David and the Stoudt family have taken exceptional care of the Lititz Springs Inn and Bulls Head Public House, and the team here has built something special through their hard work and perseverance,” said Shaun Clair. “We are grateful for the trust being placed in us and the opportunity to carry that forward,” he added.
The Clair family views their role as stewards, with a focus on honoring the inn’s history and protecting what already works. This transition represents a handoff, not a departure, and reflects a shared belief that the property’s strength lies in its people, traditions, and deep connection to the greater Lititz community.
