Stone House Welcome to the Stone House, the newest addition to the Newport Experience collection of properties.

The Stone House is a luxury resort in the quaint seaside farming community of Little Compton, RI, sitting on 2.7 acres near the tip of Sakonnet Point. The original four-story building was constructed in 1854 as a private residence and was once home to David Sisson and his son, Henry Sisson, a civil war hero. The Stone House recently underwent comprehensive renovations costing an estimated $12 million incorporating many green technologies including a geothermal heating and cooling system. The Stone House was also named to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.
