We have wrapped up the MEPs on The Hidden Gem! We are very proud to say that we have self performed all 3 trades with the assistance of family members expert knowledge (and labor).

This week we will have our inspections and then the spray foam insulation will be installed in the exterior walls.

The Hidden Gem landscape design has been created

Lots of action at The Hidden Gem this Memorial Day Weekend. The wavy pine siding was completed and the first coat of Sherwin Williams “Iron Ore” was sprayed.

Hardie lap siding was installed on the rear gable end and sprayed.

The interior roof deck was sprayed with open cell icynene insulation to keep the heat down inside.

Wavy pine siding is going up on The Hidden Gem! This siding was purchased from Southern Wood Specialities and was kiln dried prior to being pressure treated.

The cabin appearance is taking shape. Give us a like or a share if you love the siding choice!

BUILD UPDATE

The shell is almost completed and the dry in has started. Windows and doors are on site and ready for installation after waterproofing.

Weekend progress. Gable end sheathing going up.

We are using Zip System by Huber Wood Products to sheath the Hidden Gem. Zip System Sheathing is paired with Zip System’s tape which provides a waterproof and air sealed sheathing barrier. Nothing but the best for the Hidden Gem!
