This Juneteenth feels different.
For generations, land ownership represented freedom, security, and the opportunity to build wealth. Yet one of the most famous promises made to formerly enslaved people landownership was never fulfilled.
Today, as a Black woman founder, I never take for granted what it means to be under contract on a 100-acre farm in the Catskills.
This isn’t just a real estate deal.
It’s a chance to create a place where hospitality, agriculture, community, and ownership come together. A place where people can gather around campfires, harvest flowers, learn to grow food, and experience the healing power of nature.
And perhaps most importantly, we’re doing it with our community.
