Important Update (8/26)

Dear Guest/s,

According to the Polk County of Emergency Management, due to the upgrade of Hurricane Laura to a Category 4 storm, people living in RVs (e.g. motorhomes, fifth-wheel, and traveler trailers) are strongly advised to evacuate or find shelter in a building. If you choose to evacuate, we encourage you to check the traffic patterns as some routes may be congested with people trying to evacuate.

Just a reminder, you may find more info from the Polk County Office of Emergency Management at http://polkcountyoem.com/.

Also, if you choose to stay and shelter in one of our buildings, remember to bring your mask, hand sanitizer, medicine, water, and a flash light. In addition, please sign-in upon arrival.

Sincerely,
Rainbow's End Management and Staff

Returning to our Standard Reservation Policies

As of May 18, Texas has entered Phase 2 of reopening. This has prompted Escapees operated parks, Rainbow’s End in Livingston, TX, and TRA-Park in Pecos, TX to reinstate standard reservation policies. These parks will now allow for daily, weekly, and monthly reservations in accordance with our standard practices. However, all social distancing measures will continue to remain in effect until further notice.

As more states revise their individual orders, we will evaluate the status of our park(s) within those states. When policies are adjusted, they will be posted at https://www.escapees.com/coronavirus/ and also the individual park webpages.

Stay-In-Place Guidance & Rainbow Parks Policy Updates

Though it has been a few weeks since our last update, Escapees and Parks leadership have been meeting regularly to evaluate and amend our COVID-19 response. To keep members informed of what to expect in coming weeks, we feel it is important to provide additional insight and thoughts as to when and how you might see changes to existing policies for Escapees RV Parks and the Stay-in-Place guidance. Please understand that the situation continues to change and influence our decisions, on a regular basis. We hope you agree that we must all remain flexible and adapt as needed.

WE ARE STILL OPEN!

COVID-19 UPDATE
You will also see changes at our Rainbow Parks. For the safety of our park staff and guests, access to certain amenities will be restricted for the foreseeable future.
All park buildings are closed and locked to the general public, including campground staff and park residents, until further notice with exception to laundry rooms and exterior-accessible restrooms. This includes park offices, activity centers, clubhouses, etc.

Park offices are closed to outside guests. If you need to make a reservation, ask a question, make a payment, etc, you will have to call the park office. Staff will still be available during regular office hours, but face-to-face interaction is discouraged.

Lastly, social hours, meals, and formal community gatherings are canceled until further notice.

Update:

"Momma" has been renamed "Journey" as her life has been one. She is temporarily being fostered by an escapee resident. We want to thank the SPCA for helping Journey. She had emergency surgery and is on the road to full recovery.

Journey will be looking for a foster home until she can be adopted. If you are interested in either, please let contact Carl or staff at SPCA in Livingston. She is a sweet, gentle dog. Thank you all so much.

A dog was left off at entrance of Rainbows End. Female. Possible American Bulldog. Skittish. Thin. Appears to have had puppies recently. If you know owner, please have them come get her. She is watching every truck that goes by. She will not let anyone near her. Please share as necessary to find owner or home. Afraid of her getting killed on highway 146.

Hugs and Handshakes,
Rainbows End Staff
