Early mornings on the river just feel… untouched.

Our crystal clear Lochsa River is one of the ORIGINAL “Wild & Scenic” rivers designated by Congress in 1968, this stretch has stayed wild, rugged, and exactly how it’s meant to be. Whether you’re casting a line, rafting the current, taking a swim, or just sitting back listening to the water speak- it’s all right here.

Trout are running strong, with and average of about 14–16” on our stretch of the river and a few giants that’ll keep you coming back for another cast.

Spring is waking up in the mountains, and the forest floor is coming alive!

This false morel is a good reminder to be mindful when you forage! While some mushrooms might look similar to your favorites- like morels- some are best admired from a distance.

With more signs of spring popping up every day, it’s the perfect time to hit the forest, hunt for real morels, and soak it all in at the hot springs. Stay a night (or two) in our cozy cabins and make a trip of it- we miss you!
