There’s no room for discussion when you’re talking about human life. It’s that simple. This is a statement that I should’ve made a long time ago. We all should’ve voiced our outrage a long time ago. I’m fully committed to being anti-racist. And as Rachel Rodgers said in her IGTV (that I strongly encourage you to watch) “being anti-racist is not convenient”. That means looking at ingrained racism inside myself and taking a very clear and obvious stand when it comes to my business. Gone are the days that politics and business don’t mix. Racist behavior will not be tolerated in my salon. This isn’t about me or you. This is about my black family members, for my black friends, for my black clients and for black strangers across this country, who deserve to LIVE long beautiful lives. If you are not willing to listen and fully understand that THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH, then we are not for each other. Human life matters more than money and business and profit. & My business certainly means nothing if my clients are dead.
