Dear Champions Families of LES,
We would like to share an important update with our Champions family. After five wonderful years with our program, our Lead Teacher, Mrs. Logan, will be stepping down from her current position.
We are so grateful for the time, dedication, and care Mrs. Logan has given to our children and families over the past five years. Her hard work and commitment have made a meaningful impact on our program, and we appreciate all the special memories and relationships she has built along the way.
As Mrs. Logan begins an exciting new chapter in her professional journey, she is starting her student teaching process and working toward her goals in education. While we will certainly miss having her in her current role, we are excited to see her continue to grow and pursue her passion for teaching. She hopes to see many familiar faces again soon in a classroom setting!
Please join us in thanking Mrs. Logan for her five years of service, wishing her the very best in this next chapter, and celebrating all that lies ahead for her. We are thankful to have been part of her journey and wish her continued success.

Dear Champions of LCS Families,
After much thought and careful consideration, I have made the difficult decision to step down from my role as Site Director after seven wonderful years. My last day in program will be October 22nd, 2026.
This was not an easy decision to make. Over the past seven years, I have had the privilege of being part of so many children’s lives and getting to know and build relationships with their families. It has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I am so grateful for the memories, friendships, and connections I have made along the way. Being trusted to care for and support your children has meant more to me than words can express.
Champions of LCS has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I will always cherish the time I have spent here. Watching your children grow, celebrating their accomplishments, and being part of their everyday experiences has been one of the greatest joys of this role. Thank you for your trust, support, kindness, and for allowing me to be a small part of your family’s journey over the years.
Although I will be stepping away from my position as Site Director, my connection to LCS is far from over. With my own children attending LCS, I will continue to be involved in the school community, just in a different capacity. I also look forward to remaining active in the London community and continuing to see many of the familiar faces and families who have made these past seven years so special.
As I move into this next chapter, I do so with a full heart and immense gratitude for the time I have spent in this role. LCS will always hold a special place in my heart, and the relationships I have built here are something I will carry with me long after my time as Site Director comes to an end.
Thank you for seven incredible years. It has truly been an honor to be part of your lives, and I am so thankful for the love, support, and memories we have shared. While my role may be changing, I look forward to continuing to see you around LCS and throughout the London community.

Champions recently opened 10 new programs in the Decatur Public School District. As a 100% Title I district, many Decatur families face significant financial barriers. When Director of Regulatory Compliance Jodi Kuhn learned that the district’s grant-funded hot supper program was ending, she took action and secured a sponsor to continue providing free hot suppers at all 10 schools.

Jodi's compassion and willingness to act quickly will make a meaningful difference for hundreds of children and families in our programs.

Getting hands-on with learning!

At Champions summer camp in Newport, Pa., campers got their hands dirty in the school’s community garden—planting, watering, weeding and harvesting fresh green beans, tomatoes, cucumbers and carrots. Along the way, they learned about gardening, nature and the joy of growing something together. 🥕🍅
