This Father’s Day, we’re celebrating the stories passed down from one generation to the next.

These photos were shared with us by Bill Millet and capture a special connection to the Queen Mary spanning decades. Bill’s father, Hugh Millet, worked aboard the Queen Mary as a purser in the 1930s. Years later, Bill sailed aboard the ship himself during a 1963 voyage, creating memories aboard the very same vessel that had been such an important part of his father’s life. Nearly 90 years after her maiden voyage, the Queen Mary continues to connect generations through stories, traditions, and unforgettable moments.

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, grandfathers, and father figures who help keep those stories alive. 🤍

📢 Important Announcement: The Queen Mary will be closed to the general public on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, as well as Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, as we welcome guests to Zombie Apocalypse Festival and Day Trip.

The Queen Mary will reopen on the following dates at 12PM: Sunday, June 21 and Monday, June 29. 🚢
