Our page has recently been targeted by a bot. A bot on Facebook is an automated software program or fake profile designed to mimic human behavior. This bot posted about an alumni t-shirt on a bunch of our posts, and then tagged a lot of our followers, meaning you would have gotten a notification from its post. I have blocked them and deleted their posts. I have changed our settings so that our followers cannot be tagged. I believe that this will unfortunately mean that you, as a follower, will also not be able to tag someone that you want to see one of our posts. I have also been looking around for the way to change our settings so that all comments made on one of our posts must be approved by us before it being posted live (but have not found that yet and I really don’t want to have to do that!) You most likely have seen many obvious bots commenting on news pages and other groups and pages that have nothing to do with the subject, etc. and scrolled past. Other bots may not be so easy to recognize and are created to increase the number of comments or clicks. Some are created for nefarious reasons and the best thing to do is to never click on a website link provided within their comment and certainly don’t accept or request to be a friend of someone that you don’t know.

Greetings from the Northwoods. I'm so sorry to anyone trying to get in touch with us; we have been without power since Sunday night at 7pm. The new estimated time of restoration is 3pm today, after which we will be testing for burst water pipes. I'm still kinda limited on communication (partially because I'm not good with my phone & needing to save the battery time). Thanks for understanding. EDIT: All water lines are good! Dan is especially excited because he is the soldering guy and the underground ones would've had to wait till spring. Next time we will begin generator operations much earlier and not believe the estimated time of restoration which started at 2 1/2 hours, and turned out to be 44 hours!

This fantastic picture graces a wall in our Knotty Pine Bar. Someone told us that the couple with the young girl in between is Mel and Sylvia and the girl is Sandy, their granddaughter. If so, this picture would probably be 1945, as Sandy was born in July of 1942.
