The sun hangs low over Longboat Key, bleeding gold and fire into the horizon. The sky is a slow burn orange and pink smudged together like an old oil painting left out in the salt air. The sugar-white sand, so soft it seems to sigh underfoot, stretches toward the water where the Gulf licks at the shore, restless and eternal.

A few beach chairs sit scattered, abandoned for now, like relics of a perfect afternoon. Stop to drink it in, knowing moments like these should never be taken for granted.
