Here in Nuggett Hill, we believe mondays are filled with opportunities and today is no different.
As a graduate of Letourneau University's prestigious flight school, and a veteran having served at TopGun, and Operation Iraqi Freedom/Operation Enduring Freedom, I have had a deep rooted passion to both fly and serve my country again. It is my pleasure to announce that I have been selected to join the Army as a Chief Warrant Officer and become a helicopter pilot!
It has been a honor to serve Longview and the greater community. We've hosted guests from all over the world, famous celebrities, displaced families, friends, neighbors, newlyweds, and more. We were surprised to be the 'most wish listed' property in East Texas by Airbnb. This is without question, due to every single guest, recieving only the highest quality service and experience, and that credit goes to my spouse and best friend, Ashley Shelton.
She has washed countless towels and sheets, endless vacuuming and scrubbing to prepare for every reservation; all while homeschooling two children! She is the only reason we have had so much success, and subsequently, why Nuggett Hill B&B has maintained 100% 5 star reviews.
I want to thank the City of Longview for being cooperative and supportive. We believe, if done well, short term rentals (STR) appeals to the demographic mentioned in the recent NYT article about Longview. We hope to have been a positive influence in our community, and a pioneer of STRs in Longview. We love Airbnb home-sharing because it has brought back trust to the travel industry. I would encourage the City of Longview and community to consider increasing the number of quality STR's in proportion to the number of hotels.
I am currently sitting on the front porch and enjoying the greatest view in Longview and thankful to have shared it with so many. As much as we love this home, military service calls, and we are For Sale. Details coming soon.
