Kevin walks the VHP — and the first thing he gets into is the casting platform.

It's a hatch casting platform braced with a turnbuckle, so the deck you're standing on is the same hatch that's storing your gear. It's the kind of detail that makes no sense in a photo and obvious sense the second someone shows you.

Behind that: a Go Fast poling platform in brushed finish, Anchor over Black brushed decking with a pinline carried across the cockpit, the casting platform, and the poling platform, and a removable two-step boarding ladder to starboard with a folding backrest and step.

Power is a Pro XS 115 Command Thrust on a Bob's 4-inch jackplate with SeaStar steering and a stainless three-blade. A black .Pole Move on the port bow off 36V in the console, a black 6-foot .Pole anchor to port, and a NSS Evo 3S 9-inch with 3-in-1 transducer flush in the jumpseat console.

Ice Blue over Matterhorn White, black rub rail, satin black powder coat on the wheel, white vinyl with white top stitching. Tallahassee bound on an aluminum trailer with a swing tongue.

A 17 EVOx rigged around LiveScope. Kevin walks this one before it heads to Pine Island.

The whole bow is built for it: a Force Kraken on a starboard nose mount, LiveScope running in Perspective mode off the trolling motor, and an ECHOMAP Ultra 2 12-inch flush in the console with a IS35 gauge alongside it. We ran NMEA to the bow and left an access hatch in the bulkhead so every bow component could be through-bolted properly.

The aft compartment got cut out completely — no livewell. This one is built to find fish, not hold them.

Underneath it: Guide Green over Matterhorn White, a 60 in black on an Atlas Micro jackplate, Baystar steering, and a stainless three-blade. Marine decking in Anchor Grey through the cockpit and across a 40-inch brushed poling platform with a front step, nylon rod spools, black rub rail, and Light Grey Simtex with black stitching. Riding on a trailer with a swing tongue.

Ice Blue over Matterhorn White. This VHP is Tallahassee bound.

A Pro XS 115 Command Thrust on a Bob's 4-inch jackplate, SeaStar steering, and a stainless three-blade. A black .Pole Move on the port bow running 36V out of the console, a black 6-foot .Pole anchor to port, and a NSS Evo 3S 9-inch with 3-in-1 transducer flush in a jumpseat console.

Guide Green over Matterhorn White, and this 17 EVOx is nearly ready to leave for Pine Island.

Guide Green might be the closest thing we have to a classic. It has looked right on every skiff we've ever laid it on, and it looks right on this one.

Rigged for a fish-finder: a Force Kraken on a starboard nose mount with LiveScope in Perspective mode, an ECHOMAP Ultra 2 12-inch flush in the console, and a IS35 gauge. A 60 in black on an Atlas Micro jackplate, Baystar steering, and a stainless three-blade.

The aft compartment got cut out completely — no livewell on this one. Marine decking in Anchor Grey on the cockpit and the poling platform, a 40-inch brushed platform with a front step, a 36-inch lean bar, nylon rod spools, black rub rail, and Light Grey Simtex with black stitching. Riding on a trailer with a swing tongue.

Thank you for trusting East Cape with your skiff.

The first flats version of the 21 EVO, with the deck extensions. Kevin walks it.

This is the one we've been building toward on the 21 — fixed deck extensions fore and aft that open the casting platforms up and turn a bay boat into something that fishes skinny like a skiff. Kevin gets into what changed and why.

Medium Grey over Whisper Grey, running a 225 V6 in Cold Fusion White on a Sea Star 12-inch jackplate. Two white 6-foot .Pole anchors, a .Pole Move on a starboard guide mount off 36V lithium in the console, and a NSS12 Evo3S with 3-in-1 transducer and weather in a flush-mount skiff-style console.

Poling platform built to full clearance, in Medium Grey over Light Grey across the casting decks, platform, and under-gunnels, brushed metal throughout, aluminum rub rail, and an aluminum trailer with a stainless axle.

First one out the door, and it's Alabama bound.

Medium Grey over Whisper Grey, and this 21 EVO is Alabama bound.

Clean, quiet, and rigged to fish: a 225 V6 in Cold Fusion White on a Sea Star 12-inch jackplate, a pair of white 6-foot .Pole anchors, and a .Pole Move on a starboard guide mount running off 36V lithium in the console. A NSS12 Evo3S with 3-in-1 transducer and weather sits in a flush-mount skiff-style console.

in Medium Grey over Light Grey with a pinline runs the casting decks, the poling platform, and the under-gunnels. Poling platform built to full clearance with a 35-inch U-shape lean bar, brushed metal throughout, aluminum rub rail, blue under-gunnel lighting, and Light Grey Simtex cushions. Riding on a trailer with a stainless axle.

The grey-on-grey builds always photograph like this in person.

Kevin walks the 21 EVO — then Lake X does the talking.

This one's headed to a Charleston guide and tournament angler, and it's loaded: a Pro XS 250 on a Sea Star 12-inch jackplate, a height-adjustable casting tower the owner designed himself, helm and casting pads in Mocha over Black, satin-black powder coat, a 1100 GPH livewell, and a 45 up front. Rigged for electronics and riding on an aluminum trailer with a stainless axle.

Kevin gets into what makes the 21 series what it is — the layout, the fishability, and why it handles the way it does when you point it into some water.

Then there's the run footage. This boat spent time at Lake X with dialing in the prop, and a good chunk of this video is it doing exactly what it was built to do.

Want to fish it? It runs charters out of , and Team Hard Tuggin () will have it on tournament trails all year.

Seashell Green over Oyster White, and this 21 EVO is Charleston bound.

Built for a guide and tournament angler who fishes for a living: a Pro XS 250 on a Sea Star 12-inch jackplate, a height-adjustable casting tower he designed himself to fish everything he chases, helm and casting pads in Mocha over Black, satin-black powder coat, and a 45 up front. Riding on an aluminum trailer with a stainless axle, rigged for his electronics.

It even spent time at Lake X with dialing in the prop — full performance numbers coming soon.

Want to fish it? This one runs charters out of , and you'll catch Team Hard Tuggin () on tournament trails all year.

Every one of these gets built around how the owner fishes. Thank you for trusting East Cape with your boat.
