Awesome retreat away from the noise

Loved staying at this property once again. Just far enough away from the noise to relax, yet close enough to go grab a bite to eat or visit the beautiful New River Gorge area during the day. The cabin is mostly updated inside and was spotless when we arrived. The a/c units were also already on to ensure that the house was nice and cool when we got there - very nice touch! The hot tub was great to have available to use after a day of hiking. Couldn't ask for a better, more convenient place to stay when visiting the area. Can't wait to book our next visit!

34th Birthday/Family Vacation

I organized a trip to Fayetteville, WV so I could celebrate my 34th birthday with my husband and two of my cousins. We chose this home because it was large enough for the four of us, had a hot tub, and was close to rafting and hiking. I am SO pleased that we stayed at Fern Creek Cabins. I only have positive things to say. The cabin is darling and has everything you need for a stay in the woods: grill with fuel, comfortable beds, TV with DVD player, kitchen appliances and cooking supplies, and clean linens. The hot tub was an added bonus after a long drive and/or a long day on the river. Check in and out was simple and Janet gave us very easy directions to follow (we were able to follow them at 4 in the morning after driving for 9 hours). The location is wonderful...in the woods but close to town. We rafted with the only family owned rafting company (New & Gualey River Adventures...you should ask for Scott) that guides the New & Gauley rivers and did the Endless Wall Trail. Food was great at both Cathedral Cafe and Pies & Pints. If you are on the fence of whether or not to stay here or visit Fayetteville, do NOT miss a chance to visit this great cabin and wonderful, small town. You won't be disappointed!

Awesome cabin in the woods!

I organized a trip for my husband, cousins and myself for my 34th birthday. We chose Fern Creek Cabins because of its proximity to Fayetteville and rafting companies. The cabin is as advertised and has everything you could need. We were able to grill out one night and used the hot tub both nights. The beds were comfortable and the cabin had both AC and an electric furnace/fireplace. We also used the DVD player and TV to watch a scary movie one night. The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably, so the four of us had plenty of room. There were clean linens provided and the kitchen was well stocked. The cabin is in a great location and is only about 13 minutes away from the Endless Wall trailhead and about 17 minutes away from the town of Fayetteville. We went rafting with New & Gauley River Adventures (ask for Scott) and had an incredible time (they are the only family owned rafting company in the area). We ate at Pies & Pints and the Cathedral Cafe. Overall, our trip to WV was flawless. We loved the cabin and the area as a whole.

Serene Escape

Spent a weekend here with friends. Very close to rafting on the New River and the Gauley River. The cottage was tidy and well equipped. The grounds were well maintained. We used the fire pit, grill, and hot tub. All were convenient and well maintained. There was a good supply of firewood and kindling. One of us pitched a tent in the back and enjoyed waking up in view of the pond.
