Bridge Day is over. Fall foliage is at its peak colors, but we are still harvesting tomatoes! We picked three buckets of tomatoes, celery, zucchini, beets and more and LOTS of winter squash. Time to can more tomato sauce.

Lots of produce harvested today—beets, green beans, Swiss chard, and more, including a ginormous zucchini I must’ve missed earlier this week. Weeded the greenhouse too. It’s looking fabulous, and the goats, chickens, and humans are all happy with the results.

For last week’s National Dog Day, we got the fur babies life jackets and took them down to the Meadow River for a swim. They did great. It’s lovely there, and we can’t wait for the new 26+ mile Rail Trail to open.

We volunteered today to remove big rocks and make the trail to Hanging Rock Raptor Observatory easier to hike on. Then, we drove over to Hawk K**b Appalachian Hard Cider and enjoyed refreshing cider and a late lunch.
