Summer! This year, June seems sunnier (and earlier) than usual, and we're seeing loads of boating and biking activity on beautiful Lopez Island. It's a great time for those long beach walks, and it's easy to get around on this bike-friendly island. Have fun!

Spring has definitely sprung, on Lopez Island! Lovely fresh vegetation; the summertime crowds haven't yet landed; the weather is promising, and the island is readying for a season of visitors. What a great time to be here! We love the springtime beach walks, the springtime flowers, and the fresh island air.

New Year's Resolution: Get away from the mainland noise and commotion more often! Planning to spend more time on beautiful Lopez Island, reading and relaxing and taking long walks on the beautiful beaches and scenic trails. Happy 2026 to all the Lopez residents and visitors! As the calendar moves through fall and approaches winter -- yipes! How did this happen so soon? We're thinking about Christmas shopping, and you'll find so many great options at the Lopez Plaza: wonderful books for all ages and all interests; beautiful artworks; gift certificates for a lovely dinner out; bakery treats; gift certificates for lots of espressos and lattes for the holidays and in the New Year. Or how about a new holiday haircut at the barber -- or a getaway stay at the Lopez Lodge, where everything is close at hand? We're lucky to have so many great choices.

Hard to believe it's fall already ... the air is definitely a little crisper, but there's still the sunshine (and sometimes the mist). Ferry lines are a little shorter, but beach walks are still as enticing. Come up to Lopez Island for a lovely change of pace, with fewer seasonal crowds in the charming shops and eateries.

Can't believe how fast the summer is already moving along ... soon it will be time for Lopez's festive Fourth of July events! It's a great time to participate in community fun -- the annual parade, and the evening fireworks. Don't miss out!

This year's "Tour de Lopez" bicycle event was a big success! (It was the 19th annual event, very popular on this bicycle-friendly island.) The funds raised will go to the Village Park project. Three cheers for our cyclists and visitors!
