A popular attraction just over the hills from Walnut is the Griffith Observatory. We recommend either a sunrise or sunset there as your plans allow. You won’t be disappointed!

The Santa Monica Pier is one of our most recommended places to visit. From Walnut you can drive through Topanga Canyon and visit Will Roger’s State Beach for some nature views and beach walks before having an afternoon of activity at the Pier.

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation & Institute library is only 30 minutes from Walnut. That’s a very quick drive to see an old Air Force One as well as tons of presidential memorabilia.
