I don't know how many of the following dumpsites (landfills) are in the path of Hurricane Ian but I wanted to post this list to alert Florida residents of the toxic sites and possibility chemicals from these dumps will spread through the flood waters.

Starting today, anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult, age 21 or older, with identification after 3 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays to enter the Del Amo Fashion Center mall in Torrance.

"Antibiotic resistance is a growing world health threat. More than 2.8 million infections resistant to antimicrobials — which include antibiotics as well as antifungals and antiseptics — take place in the U.S. each year, and more than 35,000 people die as a result, according to estimates by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Scientists worry that widespread resistance to anti-microbials would usher in an age when common infections and minor injuries can once again kill."

Resistance to antibiotics could become the next pandemic unless action is taken, researchers say.

The Bronx, New York City, NY - "The story of the Pelham Bay Landfill tragedy started back in the 1960s, when the city decided to shoehorn a dump into the edge of a residential neighborhood in the northeast Bronx. The 81-acre pile of trash was supposed to handle only household waste. Residents were assured by the city it would be harmless. But sometime in the 1970s, the trouble began. Mob-connected companies began hauling in truckloads of highly toxic chemicals. Instead of empty tuna cans and shredded bills, the Pelham dump was beginning to hold substances with names like ethylbenzene, dioctylphthalate and xylene...
