It is with a heavy heart that I report we have lost one of our own. Kirk Arnold-Smith, who was in the original Hollywood Fringe production of Pulp Shakespeare, passed away after a long battle with cancer on Sunday, October 29th.
I first met Kirk when we were both cast in SCLT's 2007 production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' where he was hilarious as the character Bottom. Kirk was a gentle soul. Kind, and thoughtful. As his friend and colleague wrote:
"Kirk was and is an inspiration. He lived life as a true artist , a Renaissance man! He would say his mission was to create art and beauty on Earth, which he did! He sang, starred in plays and film as well as directing theater and opera, created art in various mediums, created exquisite gardens, music and art events are just some of the numerous things he did. Everything was beautiful, eating a meal he created was beautiful!
He LIVED LIFE!! His personality was HUGE, radiating so much enthusiasm for life and contributing to so much beauty! He gave so much of himself! He was genuine, spiritual and loved God, his family, church, friends!"
We will miss you friend. 🕊
