TBT: In the spring and summer of 2005, we edited WITHIN THE WOODS in this second floor suite at the Crossroads of the World on Sunset Blvd. Before that, I’d never set foot in the place, though I’d seen it in movies like THE ADVENTURES OF FORD FAIRLANE and L.A. CONFIDENTIAL. Working there was very much of a “Hollywood” experience, especially since our late night editorial sessions were often interrupted by visits from TV stars like Richard Hatch and Tristan Rogers, who our editor was also working with on other projects.

We came back to the Crossroads to supervise the Dolby stereo mix for PLAGUERS in 2008.

TBT: The recent passing of Eurohorror icons Jack Taylor and Luigi Montefiori (George Eastman) has me thinking of my meeting with Paul Naschy.

I met Naschy at the Estepona Horror and Fantasy Film Festival in Spain, Sept. 2008, where my film PLAGUERS was having its world premiere. Not only did we have a great screening with incredible audience reaction and win Best Screenplay, I had the chance to spend some time with Naschy, who presided over the festival for years. Sadly, he passed away the following year, making this moment all the more special.

Congratulations to TRANSYLVANIA TAPES actor Gabriel Spahiu for winning the Gopo Award (Romanian equivalent of an Oscar) for Best Supporting Actor for KONTINENTAL '25.

Gabi also recently shot a part for Martin Scorsese's new film WHAT HAPPENS AT NIGHT...which is listed right next to TT on his IMDB page under "upcoming films".
