A most unique country inn, we specialize in romantic escapes, secluded getaways, and superb breakfasts each morning... all just moments away from historic Charlottesville, Virginia. Today, our original cottages (circa 1699 - 1880) boast air conditioning, private baths, working fireplaces, full breakfast-in-bed, and jetted tubs (in most rooms). Children and dogs are welcome with well-behaved adults!

Oh October, how we’ve missed you! The colors of summer are slowly fading and the warmth of Fall colors are arriving at Prospect Hill. The air is a bit cooler and the sunlight becomes gauzy and filtered against the backdrop of turning leaves. The summer is slowly turning toward home, but there’s still a lot of the season left to enjoy. Central Virginia has a wealth of history, wineries and brewery attractions to make your stay memorable, while a “No” day relaxing at our saltwater pool is truly refreshing. Even the drought seems to have taken a mini break. The recent afternoon thunderstorms helped our wildflower meadow, our featured picture this month, find its footing finally exploding into color, and my veg garden now supplies our breakfasts and Innkeeper dinners.
