Latest review from guests from upstate New York:“All I can say is this place was absolutely amazing. Talk about serenity! The farmhouse was such a surprise to me, and more than I could imagine. I could easily live there!!!!! We also enjoyed the homemade cookies, fresh fruit, and awesome breakfast with homemade biscuits, too! The room and bed was so comfortable...slept like a baby. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch, and learning about the pecan and magnolia trees! Buena's and Bob's hospitality was top notch, and if I am ever back in the area, this place is a definite!!!!! Thank you for such a nice experience!”

Warm, cozy stay and Holiday cheer. Come stay with us. Recent guests from Texas & Australia & Virginia comments: "This place is perfect! Every detail has been thought out. The home is beautiful & spotless, the hosts friendly and helpful. A&O spoiled us to death, we are grateful for the memories. " The place is absolutely delightful, even more charming than it looks in the pictures. It's set back from the road in a lovely peaceful spot overlooking the fields. It was lovely to sit on the verandah on a mild night and sunny morning with a cup of tea. The kids really enjoyed playing the board games and we all had fun playing the vinyl collection on the record player." "The place is amazing! The farmhouse beautiful and the location is quiet and secluded with lots of nature. Buena left us delicious cookies and breakfast options. We will definitely return."

My family and I were moving to this area and needed a place to stay until our home was ready. We were moving to this area, an area we chose specifically because of the idyllic country setting and the outward kindness of the locals. And Antler & Oak, with its hosts Bob and Buena, only further validated these reasons for moving to this area. Antler & Oak is a beautifully renovated farmhouse with very thoughtful interior decorating, it comes off like some high-end county hotel, and well maybe that just what it is? We took both rooms, so we got a feel for the whole place. You essentially are given, if you get both rooms, a whole house to yourself because they split up their massive house in two. Either way, if you take one room or both, you get plenty of space in a nice bedroom on the 2nd floor with a country feel (wood floors and pretty antique furniture), yet decked out with exceptionally comfortable beds and an overly nice bathroom. Both with amazing views. Every night we looked out our windows to see the stars and in the morning, to see the beauty of the country landscape as the sun rose on it. Then with the first floor, you have a very nice kitchen with decent amenities that you're free to use and nice decorations, it was lovely to just sit in there, which we did many a night. Then personally, I spent a lot of time in the living room, where there are very comfortable chairs, a couch, a great desk to work on, and a record player, all great to use when you look out at the windows at a truly inspiring landscape. We spent a lot of time in there doing work with the aid of their wifi, that works very well (if you need it). Then there is the porch, with totally perfect rocking chairs, which we sat on many an afternoon with hummingbirds humming around us and books in hand, watching the sunset on one side of the flat farming country landscape, and the moon rises on the other. Then stick around a bit more to see all the stars in the sky. We also regularly took walks around the Antler & Oak's large estate and were just made so happy by how nice everything looked and how calm the countryside can make you. So Antler & Oak, the b&b is perfect. I would truly recommend it just for what is inside and outside of it alone. Especially if you are going to spend time in Raleigh, Durham, or Chapel Hill. You're only 30 minutes from Raleigh, 45 from Durham, and little under an hour away from Chapel Hill. You won't really get as good of an NC country experience in some hotel. The area of Louisburg and its surrounding small country cities have a lot to do if you want a country experience. The people are also overwhelmingly kind and nice...(ran out of room on Airbnb site)

We had several groups come through to stay from up North going to SC for the Eclipse. See comment from NY & Jersey couples: "We had a delightful time at your charming home and enjoyed our stay with you, just wish it could have been longer. Thank you for your delicious breakfast, and very comfortable rooms. So nice to meet you both. We certainly will be back when we pass this way again."

Here is our first comment on Airbnb: "The B&B is as pictured. Gorgeous, clean, newly renovated 1900s farmhouse located in the countryside a little drive from Raleigh. Our host and hostess were friendly and hospitable. We enjoyed walking the scenic property, ate farm fresh eggs and freshly picked watermelon, played wiffle ball, watched butterflies and bumble bees hover around the porch, and slept very comfortably at night. We all woke up rested and at peace thanks to the fluffy bedding and views of the amazing landscape out every window. Note: The house is two stories so plan to climb a steep set of stairs to the bedrooms/full bathrooms. We experienced pure, relaxed, rustic charm with modern amenities (bathrooms and kitchen) and gracious, thoughtful hosts. Our family highly recommends you stay at Antler & Oak."
