The Honey House is a brand-new construction home, located on 50 beautiful acres with a 28 ft deep private lake.

With a love of wildflowers, butterflies and honeybees, the owners of this property had one goal in mind: to provide a luxury experience in a private setting, that showcased the beauty in the simplicity of nature. From the second you walk in the door, you will be greeted with relaxing views of the water. The main house features two large master suite bedrooms, both with their own private bathroom,

stocked with Boll & Branch sheets and towels. The house also features a large and open living room, a chefs kitchen with gas stove and all of the appliances of home, a second floor balcony with more room to relax and enjoy the views, and a reading nook with a chair that begs to be napped in! Need a little more space? The property also supports larger parties, with a connected building (apartment) that comes with another full bathroom and bedroom, several blow up mattresses, and even an office set up for those who need to get some work done! And if work is on the schedule, the direct fiber optic line will provide the high speed internet you need! The property sits on 50 private acres, full of trails for exploring and offering different views of the water. From early spring to late fall, planted pollinator wildflowers will offer an ever changing colored landscape, along with the sights and sounds of bees, birds and butterflies. Enjoy coffee in the morning and wine in the evening on the covered back porch, as you listen to quail whistle and watch ducks stop by for a swim. This property is part of a larger farm that is strictly managed for wildlife of all kinds. Over 100 acres has been planted in various pollinator species, bringing back the natural landscape of the Illinois prairie. In the spring and summer months, honey bee hive tours will be available, as will classes on making wildflower bouquets! The home is located in Louisville Illinois, off Highway 45, and next to Effingham, Illinois, which is a quick and convenient drive from St. Louis, Chicago, and other metro areas.
