Greeting from Camp Manitoumi!

Summer Staff have arrived and have been working hard this week to get trained and get everything ready for campers to arrive. Just 5 days left!!

We still have some needs:
Could still use another lifeguard
Still need 2-3 Male Counselors and 1 Female Counselor for Junior Camp 1
Could still use 1 Male Counselor for Junior High Camp

Want to help camp in a unique way? We need some volunteers who would be willing to eat ice cream for Camp? We could use some new to us "slop" buckets and the 1 gallon ice cream buckets work great for this. Eat ice cream (maybe right from the bucket) and then send the empty buckets to camp with campers who are on their way!

Can't eat ice cream? Would you continue to pray for the Summer Camps at Camp Manitoumi. Pray for our campers. Pray that we would continue to see registrations come in (numbers are looking good right now!). Pray that the campers would have safety while they are at camp. Pray that they would hear the Gospel and would respond. Pray that lives will be changed for the glory of God.

Manitoumi Minute - May 27, 2026

Greetings from Camp Manitoumi!

It is the final week before staff arrive and the summer official starts and only 12 days until campers arrive!!

Missionary Hudson Taylor once said, "When we work, we work. When we pray, God works." In all the effort to get everything ready for campers, we are reminded that it is only the Lord that is able to accomplish the ultimate work. We pray that our efforts will be used for his glory.

Psalm 127:1a - "Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain."
Proverbs 16:3 - "Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established."

Would you join us in praying for the summer? Would you pray this week for our Deans and Speakers. Pray that they will be able to communicate the truth of Scripture boldly, clearly, and effectively.

Manitoumi Minute - May 20, 2026

Greetings from Camp Manitoumi!

The month of May is flying by and soon summer will officially begin. There are just 12 days remaining until summer staff arrive and 19 days until campers show up! God continues to provide in amazing ways above and beyond what we can request.

Needs we still have for this summer:
-Help finishing up ductwork on the Girl's Cabin HVAC project
-2 Lifeguards for the summer
-A Cook to help with Senior High Camp
-At least 3 Male Counselors for Junior Camp 1
-1 or 2 Female Counselors for Junior Camp 1
-1 or 2 Male Counselors for Junior High Camp

Please continue to pray for our summer. Pray especially for our summer staff this week. These young people are taking their summer to serve at Camp. Pray that God would use this summer to strengthen their faith and embolden them to gospel work. Pray for unity and loving spirit among the staff. Pray that they will remain healthy for the summer. Pray that God would use them point the campers to Jesus.

Greetings from Camp Manitoumi!

Only 33 days until campers arrive for Beginner Camp!

The month of May brings a very busy time as we work to complete projects and to put the finishing touches on the camp schedules and programs. However, the work is worth it as we seek to point campers to Jesus. Proverbs 14:4 says, “Where there are no oxen, the manger is clean, but abundant crops come by the strength of the ox.” It would be a lot easier to maintain an empty campground, but that is not why we exist. We look forward to the hard work and the mess that campers bring because we know that God will bring a great harvest from our feeble efforts. William Carey, a great pioneer missionary to India, once said, “Expect great things from God. Attempt great things for God.” Would you join us in praying that God would do great things in the lives of our campers this summer.

There are still opportunities for volunteers to join us as we seek to wrap up some projects. We also still have a need for two more lifeguards for the summer and a cook for Senior High Camp (July 13-18). If you are interested, or know of someone who is, please contact the camp office for more details.
