This is a great holiday weekend to enjoy Lubbock! The Red Raiders kick off the 2026 football season Saturday night at 6 pm against Abilene Christian—and there’s plenty happening around town all weekend long.

🌾 Saturday: Downtown Farmers Market, Living History Saturday at the National Ranching Heritage Center + Texas Tech Football at 6 p.m.
🎶 Sunday: Live music around town and plenty of places to enjoy a laid-back Lubbock evening
🎸 Monday: Celebrate Lubbock legend Buddy Holly at his 90th Birthday Bash at the Buddy Holly Center, featuring live music, trivia, family activities and more—FREE from 10 a.m.–5 p.m.!

Then come home to a little West Texas charm at the Woodrow House B&B. Relax, enjoy our boutique atmosphere, take a dip in the pool, grab one of our daily homemade cookies, and make your football weekend feel like a getaway—not just a trip to the game. ❤️
