It was a beautiful day for a camp work day! Thank you to all who came out and helped with tasks, some of which have been put off for far too long. We are excited for the great summer camp season to begin. We still have 2 weeks available in early June, if you’d like a wonderful week away!

Tasks accomplished today:
1. Nurse’s station inventoried, restocked, and cleaned.
2. Mulch added beneath the swings
3. Paddle boats inspected, cleaned, repaired and ready for action.
4. Vacuums deep cleaned
5. Additional emergency lighting added
6. New paper towel dispensers hung in the dorm bathrooms.
7. Mattresses inventoried and bad mattresses removed. Stay tuned as we are raising funds to replace all the bunks in the boys dorm and also need to replace about 30 twin size mattresses.
8. Weeds pulled and trees trimmed.
9. Several areas given a fresh clean.
10. All outlets tested and started to be repaired or replaced.

We still have a couple tasks we’d like to get completed before our first group arrives, so please let us know if you or your church group would like to adopt a task. We can’t wait to see you at Jericho Hills this summer.

Donations are rolling in for our great auction! We are just 2 weeks away from our annual fundraiser. This event helps us with maintenance and improvements on our facilities, as well as exciting additions. We look forward to a great day of bidding. Bring the trucks and fill them up. A big giant thank you to everyone who came and helped at our camp work day today. Many hands make the work much more enjoyable. Great things were accomplished and will help as we begin our preparations for a very busy summer! Make sure to save the date for our next work day on May 16.

Tasks accomplished today:
1. Deep cleaning and sanitizing of all the kitchen cupboards and equipment.
2. Making those ovens sparkle like brand new.
3. Sweeping and vacuuming of several areas.
4. Hauling off broken items.
5. Loading in the new pool table for the lodge.
6. Lots and lots and lots of sticks picked up and added to the burn pile.
7. Dirt work on the playground.
8. Shower curtains freshly washed and sanitized.
9. New castors added to heavy tables in the gym.
10. Wiggle cars inspected and fixed.
11. Lots of laundry

What a great work day! So incredibly grateful for everyone who gave their day for some great work to be done. Here is our list of items we accomplished that we are grateful God gave us the ability to complete.

1. Deep cleaning and organization of the dreaded mop closet.
2. Deep cleaning and organizing of the basement cleaning closet with an inventory of supplies.
3. New locks installed in the nurse’s station after our keys went missing this summer.
4. Cleaning of the nurse’s station.
5. The installation of our brand-new donated water fountain for the cafeteria, complete with a water bottle filler!!!!
6. 2 dead trees chopped down and broken up for firewood.
7. New Gaga ball pit built and set up by 9-square. We can see all the great games that will be enjoyed here next summer!
8. New mop and broom racks hung in important areas.

What a great day the Lord has made for us. What will our next project be?? We can’t wait to see!

This weekend we hosted a youth retreat for teens from Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado. It was such a joy to see them enjoying everything the Lord has blessed us with. Groups this summer are enjoying our new chapel bathrooms (and refreshed camper office). Although there are a few finishing touches before they feel completed, we are loving the reactions to seeing these beautiful new spaces. Thank you to everyone who has given to make these bathrooms a reality. I can’t wait to give a video tour of the completed project!
