As the summer season winds down, one of our absolute favorite traditions is gathering with our incredible team for our end-of-season outing—and this year’s was especially memorable!

A massive, heartfelt thank you to our legendary Pie Master, Ruth, who treated us to a wonderful hands-on lesson. She showed us the artistry behind making scratch pies—both savory and sweet—and taught us the secret techniques for crafting the perfect homemade crust. Learning from her passion and expertise was such a joy.

Running a busy season takes immense energy, care, and heart. Day after day, our team rises to every occasion and pours everything into their work. They are the true backbone of everything we do—simply put, our success would not be possible without their dedication, warmth, and relentless effort.

Taking time to step back, share a meal, learn something new, and celebrate together is a highlight of our entire year. We are endlessly grateful for this amazing crew and couldn't ask for a better team to work alongside.

To our team: thank you for an extraordinary summer!

From garden to glass!

Every late summer, we harvest the fresh lavender growing right here on the Cartier Mansion grounds. Once it's carefully cut down, we hang it to dry for a few months to lock in all that incredible scent and rich flavor.

The best part? Turning that dried lavender into our homemade lavender simple syrup! It’s one of our favorite ways to bring a little bit of the mansion’s gardens directly to our guests—whether splashed in a cozy morning drink or mixed into a refreshing seasonal beverage.

There’s nothing quite like enjoying a taste of the grounds long after the harvest is done.
