Housekeeping in a hotel is a very physically demanding job that includes many, varied tasks. Typically, in this case study, housekeepers were responsible for cleaning 10-20 rooms per shift. The actual amount of work depends on the size of the room and the number of beds. A housekeeper needs between fifteen and thirty minutes to do one room. A housekeeper carries out the following tasks:

-Making beds
-Tidying rooms
-Cleaning and polishing toilets, taps, sinks, Bathtubs and Mirrors
-Washing floors
-Removing stains
-Vacuuming

Hotel receptionists welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel. Their duties include checking guests in and out, issuing keys, taking reservations by telephone or email, preparing bills and dealing with payments. They provide guests with information, answer their queries, deal with complaints

We lost our Matriarch. Dawn’s mother Sharon passed away yesterday. She along with Ed had the Viking Arms Inn for 13 years. She taught us a lot, she was a entertainer extraordinaire and enjoyed her life with Ed for over 55 years.

Our guest may think that we throw away all of there trash but as the saying goes “one mans trash is another’s treasure”. This year we gathered and kept returnable bottles and cans to be donated to the Childhood Cancer Campaign. Along with our contribution thousands of returnables have been donated to a great cause.
