Today we pause to remember and celebrate a truly remarkable man.

August 4th marks the birthday of our beloved founder, John Plake, who passed away on June 11th. While we miss his presence every single day, his vision, leadership, and unwavering passion are woven into the very fabric of Lakeside Lodging SETX.

Above all, John was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather, and a steadfast friend to so many. He didn't just build a business—he created a space with a heart, embodying our belief that everyone deserves to feel "Welcome Home." Today, as we remember him, we recommit ourselves to upholding the standard of care, warmth, and hospitality he established.
