This may seem a little long winded at first . However, I am starting a "Pay it Forward" program starting this year from October thru May.
I am doing this for a couple reasons. First reason being the cold and somewhat hard winters up here. Being so far from the next town when the unexpected happens with vehicles or other situations where people cannot or so not have the funds. The other reason, is somehow (its been brought to my attention a few times in the last couple months) it has gotten around town that I just give out free rooms. I used to work with the Ministerial Aid to helping these situations, but it was never free. Now there is no Minisitetial Aid and has not been for 2 years.
What this entails is, I will take donations of any kind whether it be monetary or food for those in need rhat come to my motel. The monetary donations will go towards the nightly cost of the room. The guest is only allowed one night per year. Any amount is welcome. Even $1 helps. This can be done thru Zelle, Venmo, or in person.
The food would be things like snacks, drinks, cup of noodles, etc. Things that can be heated in a microwave. I do have a small fridge yo store some items but no frozen.
