One of our favorite places to visit in the spring is Cascade River State Park along Hwy 61 just east of Lutsen. Don't you think the waters look like rootbeer? There is a sign at the park that tells you why... look for it on your hike.

Temperance River State Park is a beautiful place to take a hike, skip rocks or just enjoy the sound of the falls!

The park is located along Hwy 61 between the towns of Schroeder and Tofte.

Another fun place to visit is Grand Marais with its lighthouse, coast guard station, breakwater and view of the Sawtooth Mountains...oh an a quick custard at Sydneys is always a treat.

Grand Marais is 30 mins past Lutsen Lakehouse to the east.

The North Shore just received over TWO FEET of snow! Downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing are Winter Wonderland quality right now (photo note: yes, that’s the stairway to the front door!).
