Rivendown Farm Cottage Rivendown Farm Cottage is a former artist's studio which has been completely rebuilt and refurbished into open concept living.

Artist, Judith Nelson, well-known for her geometric prints, lived and worked in the studio. Guests at the Farm ay partake in forested areas on the 30-acre property: trails, blueberry fields, a duck and geese nesting area, native apple trees, a kayak/canoe launch, and a shoreline leading to Machias Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors will enjoy the changing tides, as well as the tranquil and peaceful setting of meadows filled with wild flowers. From the shore one can view clearly the Village of Machiasport across the Narrows, with its church steeple and historic harbor area, including Liberty Hall, Gates House, and Captain Cates House.
