This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting the freedoms we enjoy today will never be forgotten.

Memorial Day has also long marked the unofficial start of summer; a symbolic changing of the seasons, bringing longer days, time with family and friends, more outdoor memories being made, sun kissed skin and moments to simply enjoy life. As we gather this weekend, may we do so with gratitude for those who made these moments possible.

🐢🌴 Sea Turtle Nesting Season is Here! 🌊☀️

From May 1 – October 31, our beautiful beaches in Madeira Beach become vital nesting grounds for sea turtles. 💚

You can help protect these incredible creatures by:
🔦 Keeping lights low at night
🚫 Staying off the dunes
🗑️ Cleaning up all trash before leaving the beach

Follow local organizations who do beach clean ups:

🌐 Keep Pinellas Beautiful
🐬 Coastal Crusaders of Florida

Let’s work together to keep our shoreline safe and welcoming for nesting moms and hatchlings making their journey to the Gulf. 🌅🐢
