This notice is from News 12 FROM METEOROLOGIST SHAWN CABLE: A TORNADO WATCH is in effect for much of western and central Minnesota until 10PM. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION... Large, destructive tornadoes, 80+ mph wind gusts and very large hail are possible. Alert your friends and neighbors, know the location of your shelter and pay close attention to the weather this afternoon and evening. Storms will develop and move quickly and that means you might not have a lot of time to act when warnings are issued. The KEYC Weather Team is watching the weather closely and will keep the updates coming both on-air and online. Stay with us for updates.

Remember the community room (storm shelter) is open 24/7 for this exact reason.

We just got a call from PhilMart in Waterville telling that if you stop in and ask for the camping discount he will give 4 cents off a gallon of gas or diesel, including boat gas during the camping season. During the month of May he will give $1 per bottle off of a bottle of liquor or wine.

Due to the forecasted overnight freezing temps, the frost not being out of the ground yet, and soft roads, we are letting folks know we are not exactly sure when we can turn water on. We are still trying to
open on time, but a final decision can't be made until next week.

In light of that and based on the forecast we will still not be allowing vehicles to drive on the campground roads. This also means no campers are able to be moved in or out yet until further notice.

We know it's hard not being able to make plans, but we will keep you updated as soon as we know more.
