Lowell Center welcomes Tim Mulcahy, Photographer, and his exhibit, “Pigments of Imagination”, which will be on display through February 2020. The exhibit is a celebration of color, form, freedom and imagination inspired by modern painting genres, especially geometric abstraction.

PhotoMidwest uses Lowell Center’s lobby gallery to exhibit members’ works. PhotoMidwest is a Madison, Wisconsin based community dedicated to learning and sharing the joy of the photographic arts. Its mission is to "connect, educate and inspire all who create, support, and appreciate photography as a means to personal expression, throughout the Midwest."

Here at UW Madison Conference Centers we are making an environmental impact with our reduced plastic usage!

Last year we used 136,000 pieces of plastic plates, silverware and cups -from May 2018-May 2019. We have replaced this plastic usage with compostable fiber plastic made from renewable sources for all of our food service needs.

We are very proud of our changes and will continue to make future decisions based on alternative sources and environmental stewardship!

We just wanted to remind everyone that we offer a special Hazardous Weather Rate of $45 per night throughout the winter months (November – March) for all University of Wisconsin employees.

The intent of the rate is to offer an affordable, safe alternative to those that may have a dangerous commute home, regardless of where home may be. To book a Hazardous Weather room at Lowell Center Hotel please call 608-256-2621. A Wiscard, or other proof of UW employment, will be requested.

Rooms are based on availability. So if you are stranded during this storm, give us a call!
