Dirks Resort History
Dirks Resort is currently on it’s 3rd generation of ownership...and many things have changed over the years!! The Resort property was purchased and started by George & Stella Dirks in 1940. They farmed the surrounding areas and had a pop shack where they sold bait and rented boats & cabins. As time went on, Lawrence Dirks kept the family farm running until 2011. Shortly after, a small section of the land was converted into Dirks Resort Campground. Our family has 78 years of memories at the lake and counting and it brings us so much joy seeing other families come together to make lasting memories.
