Catawba Falls Trailhead is 47 miles from Creeks Edge Retreat, but the hike to the Lower Falls is fairly easy, and the payoff is incredible! The upper falls is a great waterfall, but it feels straight up (the state website says it's the equivalent of hiking a 30 story building; I'd say that's accurate).
