Our trip west officially begins! We are spending the night at Golden Acres farm. Our host,Bonnie took us all around the farm on a golf cart tour to see their animals, the Mayhaw trees and to the country store to taste some local treats.

Last night we had our flying squirrels back from last year! This morning I can out to see 2 “regular “ squirrels, a chipmunk, a tufted titmouse and a chickadee. At breakfast a hummingbird buzzed around me as I ate on the porch. Needless to say nature is in your face at

On day 1 we put out the hummingbird feeders. Then on day 2 we saw our first ones. By day 3 they are here regularly! I couldn’t take a picture yet, they are sooo fast!!
