One of the most unique ongoing building projects in Magnolia took one step further this week to becoming a reality.

We all learned the Golden Rule when we were kids, “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

We heard that CCAPS needed supplies. We took dog food, cat food, beds, cat litter, and treats on Tuesday. It sure did feel good to help.

We urge you to help CCAPS also by donating supplies or $$$$. Even fostering a sweet dog or cat will help! They have approximately 130 dogs and cats!!! We saw some of the sweetest fur babies that just wanted a forever home!

Let’s do good for others, humans and animals!

La Bella Vita Hotel is coming later this year and we can hardly wait! Follow our progress as we transform the old Columbia County jail into a beautiful and unique hotel!
The owners, Gina Blann and Pam Goodman, will reinvent Columbia County’s former jail into the perfect place to call home when you visit Magnolia. We will live up to our name, La Bella Vita, aka The Good Life in Italian!

La Bella Vita will have the distinction of being a one-of-a-kind tourist attraction in Magnolia, worthy of a feature story in Southern Living Magazine. Our accommodations will be unique and inviting instead of the standard ‘cookie-cutter’ hotel design.

La Bella Vita Hotel of Magnolia will contain 10 guest rooms with high-end amenities and decadent bedding and linens. The lobby will be luxurious yet cozy as a fireplace will invite guests to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! If you are so inclined, on a cool evening take the elevator to the rooftop to enjoy the stars and a breeze with the sweet smell of magnolia blossoms.

We will provide personal attention and excellent customer service that will keep guests coming back again and again. Our hotel is in a convenient location by the Square for local events, shopping, live music, and restaurants. If you feel like staying in, there are several nearby restaurants ready to deliver a delicious hot meal!

La Bella Vita will offer personalized concierge services and modern facilities within our historic downtown location. We envision offering convenient services such as delivering shopping packages to the guest’s room when they shop on the Square.
