This was certainly the case for Anca and Mike, who first crossed paths in early 2017 when Mike was searching for an investment property on the stunning coast of Southern Maine. Anca was working for a vacation rental agency managing units in that same area. What started as a simple inquiry about rental potential for a con

do turned into an incredible friendship. Our daughters, who met when they were 4 and 6 years old respectively, are now 12 and 14 and the best of friends. We now jointly own four vacation rentals across the Northeast United States, including the townhome in the Poconos PA, an ocean view condo in Wildwood Crest NJ, a seaside condo in Wells ME, and the ski condo in the North Conway NH area. As passionate owners in the vacation rental industry, we're grateful for the opportunity to share our properties with others and especially to help others realize their dream of owning a vacation home! Our inbox this morning: a stack of 5🌟 reviews, a guest claim that's "playing" hard to believe, and the 2026 Rosie tour dates. Multitasking at its finest right here.

Real talk — not every "give me my money back" claim survives contact with actual photos. This week we're playing detective on one that doesn't quite add up. Because that's the part of co-hosting nobody puts on the brochure.

We don't take a guest's word for it, and we don't brush off a homeowner's either. We pull the photos, check the timestamps, loop in Airbnb Support, and get to the truth before anyone's wallet moves.

📍 Wells, ME update: the short-term rental regulation proposal won’t be on the November ballot.

Last night’s public hearing packed the room — strong turnout, opinions heard on both sides. In the end, the measure didn’t get enough support to move forward this cycle.

This isn’t necessarily the end of it — there’s a real chance it resurfaces in June. If you own, host, or are considering buying a short-term rental in Wells, this is worth staying close to over the next few months.

Moved the KMA Property Group office to the deck today. 🌿💻

Turns out my new hire speaks two languages ( ), has serious people skills, and elite quality-control instincts — spent the whole meeting supervising from three feet away and didn’t approve a single decision.

Hourly rate: unlimited chin scratches. HR complaints: none (yet). Client satisfaction: still somehow 5 stars.
