🏡 WHAT HAPPENS AT THE INN DURING THE WEEK?

Here’s just a little peek at what’s been happening behind the scenes this week at Gotta-Scrap Inn!

🔨 Basement remodel continues! It feels like it’s moving at a snail’s pace, but I really want to get it RIGHT. I want a cozy little sitting area where you ladies can curl up, watch TV, read a book or just sneak away for a little quiet time.

And because apparently I enjoy making more work for myself… I started painting the walls, decided I hated the color, and changed gears. 🤦‍♀️😂 Stay tuned!

💆‍♀️ The massage room is DONE and looking amazing!

🪜 New stair railing is up — another little improvement checked off the list.

🛍️ The scrapbook store is slowly getting some love too! Since the devastating fire at Notions Marketing, our major distributor is gone, which has made getting product much more difficult. BUT — good news! We now have a wholesale account with Ranger Industries, and our first order has arrived! 🎉 We now have Oxide inks and lots of other inks back in stock, with 49 and Market products coming our way too!

🍂 And FALL IS HERE at the Inn, which means the grocery shopping is in full force. The pictures of our vehicles packed to the roof with groceries are just a tiny glimpse of what it takes to get ready for all of you every weekend!

So while the Inn may look quiet during the week… trust me, she is NOT. 😂

We’re painting, shopping, stocking, decorating, fixing, remodeling and constantly working to make your weekends here even better.

Basement Flood Update! 🛠️✨

We’ve come a LONG way since Mother Nature decided our basement needed an indoor swimming pool. 😂

There’s still plenty of painting and finishing touches to do, but I’m finally starting to see the vision come together! 🙌

The new carpet is IN, all the new walls are UP, cabinets are being installed, and I am absolutely LOVING how the black ceiling is turning out! 🖤 Our new tool area is going to have so much more organized drawer space, which I know our scrapbookers are going to love.

And yes… there is currently new furniture sitting in boxes in my garage, patiently waiting for me to find the time to paint it. Because apparently I needed another project. 🤦‍♀️😂

We’re getting there! I’m hoping over the next few weeks I’ll finally be able to share the finished basement makeover with you.

🍂 A Little Behind-the-Scenes at the Inn! 🍂

So many of you have asked me, “How long does it take you to change everything over for a new season?” and “What all do you actually change?”

Well… pretty much EVERYTHING. 😂

I snapped a few pictures along the way so you could get a little peek at the dining room transformation from our Summer Tea Party season into FALL at the Inn! 🍁

And it’s definitely more than just throwing a few pumpkins around. We change the menu, dishes, napkins, napkin rings, tablescapes, dining room décor AND all the outdoor decorations. And yes… there is still more coming! 🎃🍂

If I’ve been a little quiet lately, THIS is why! Between the fall changeover, continuing to work on our basement remodel — which is coming along SO nicely — and my son’s wedding THIS SATURDAY, I’ve been just a tiny bit consumed. 😂💚

I promise more basement pictures are coming, more fall décor is coming, and I’ll be sharing plenty from the wedding too!

Our Summer Tea Party Weekends have officially come to an end, and what a fun summer it has been! Beautiful tables, lots of laughs, great food, and even better company. 💗

Honestly, we think ALL of our rooms are pretty darn fabulous already! 😂❤️

⚠️ DO NOT click any links asking you to “confirm your details,” “upgrade your room,” verify a reservation, or provide payment information.

⚠️ DO NOT enter your credit card or personal information from an email like this.

⚠️ If you receive something that looks like it came from us and you’re unsure, please contact me directly before clicking anything. I would much rather answer 100 messages asking, “Amy, is this really you?” than have ONE of you get scammed.

These people are relentless, so please stay cautious and when in doubt — DON’T CLICK!

The downstairs massage room is coming back to life! ✨

After the basement flood, this poor room definitely needed some love — and we’ve been working hard to put it all back together.

I am SO happy with how that black ceiling turned out! 😍 It completely changed the room and gave it the cozy, moody feel I was hoping for. And yes… those twinkle lights had to stay. 😂✨

We still have a little ways to go, but new carpeting is coming next week, and then I can finally start putting all the finishing touches in place.

Sometimes a disaster gives you an excuse to make something even better than it was before. ❤️

Well… apparently running an Inn, dealing with a flooded basement, pool issues, ordering product, trying to find new wholesalers after the devastating Notions Marketing fire AND actually taking care of our guests doesn’t leave a whole lot of time for Facebook. 😂🤦‍♀️

There is still only ONE of me, and unfortunately social media usually ends up at the bottom of the list!

BUT… that doesn’t mean we haven’t been having an AMAZING summer at the Inn! ❤️

I have lots of pictures to catch you up on because I absolutely want every group that has stayed with us to get their moment on our page. I’ll also be sharing some of the basement progress as we slowly put everything back together and make it even better than before.

And somehow in the middle of ALL of that, we pulled off another fabulous DIVA WEEKEND! 👑💃🍹

Our Divas showed up ready to have FUN, and as always, they did not disappoint! 😂 Between the laughs, friendships, pool time and everything else that comes along with Diva Weekend, it was another one for the books. I have plenty of pictures from that weekend coming too!

And then there was our W**E WEEKEND! 🍷🍇

What. A. Weekend.

The bus was FULL, the w**e was flowing, and the laughs and smiles were at an all-time high! We even had LIVE MUSIC BY THE POOL! 🎶🍷☀️ It was seriously such an amazing weekend.

And I have to give a HUGE shout-out to Stacy, because she did an absolutely amazing job helping put our W**e Weekend together and making sure everyone had a fabulous time. ❤️

And she’s not done with us yet! 😂 Stacy will also be hosting our Cruise Weekend on December 5th, so if you’ve been thinking about joining us for that one, come along! 🛳️🍹 I have a feeling we’re going to make a few more memories we probably shouldn’t put on Facebook. 😂

And speaking of things I haven’t forgotten…

THE WEDDING! 💍❤️

I promise I did NOT forget about all those wedding pictures! We actually just received the VIDEOS last night, too, so add that to Amy’s ever-growing list. 😂 I’ll be working on getting more wedding pictures AND videos posted because there is still so much from that day I want to share with all of you.

So if you haven’t seen pictures from your weekend yet… they are coming! I promise I haven’t forgotten about you. ❤️

And now it’s Monday morning… we’re back to working on the basement while simultaneously getting the Inn ready for another group of guests checking in TODAY.

Because apparently I enjoy chaos. 😂🤦‍♀️
