***CAUTION*** Hazard buoy # 7 is missing***

Please use caution navigating around Howe’s ledge. Rocks are inches below the surface there. The State of Maine NavAids division will be out to replace it tomorrow. Until then our lake manager has temporarily marked the spot with yellow buoys.

If you find he missing #7 hazard, please let the lake manager know and he will pick it up.

***Attention boaters*** Milfoil Infestation***

***PLEASE AVOID THIS AREA***

A large patch of Eurasian Water Milfoil has been located around Upper Sister Island and the gap between Upper Sister Island and Lower Sister Island. The area is surrounded with yellow milfoil buffer buoys. These plants are very fragile and one boat through this area could cause fragmentation to spread further throughout the lake.

There is a partially submerged mooring at this location (44.31046, -69.88290) off the Pond Road side of Manchester Bay. It’s suspected that ice may have moved it. If you or someone you know of missing one in the area. This may be it…

***NAVIGATION ALERT***

Hazard buoy # 65 is missing!

Maine winters are hard on the State navigational aids. The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry has been notified and will be replacing it as soon as possible. In the meantime, please be careful. If you find the missing nav aid please contact our lake manager and he will pick it up. He can be reached at 207-313-8854

Do know who owns this boat?
Cobbossee resident, David Cline, rescued this boat from the rocks near the West side of Sheep Island last evening and towed it to safety. It’s currently on a dock at 172 Frost Drive in Monmouth. Contact, Shon, our lake manager at 207-313-8854
