Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t cooperating with us today! With rain expected through around 1 PM, The Watershed will be closed today, Saturday, August 29th.

We don’t want anyone making the trip out just to get rained on. We appreciate everyone’s understanding and hope to see you back out on the river soon! 🛶🌊

The Watershed will be open by appointment only today.

Our crew will be out at a benefit event supporting a great cause, so we won’t have our normal hours today.

If you’re looking to get on the river, just reach out and we’ll do our best to get you taken care of! 🛶🌊

With all the rain we’ve received over the last day, the river is running high and moving much faster than normal. While we’re still open, current conditions aren’t ideal or recommended for kayaking or tubing.

We’ll continue to monitor river conditions closely and keep everyone updated. If you have any questions feel free to give us a call or send us a message.

Manchester did not just put a park beside the river and call it a day. It looked at the Maquoketa River and apparently thought, “What if this had a little more splash, speed, and summer bragging rights?”

Water levels look great for the weekend! They are currently at 299 cfs. As always, July water temps are soothing. We suggest wearing a properly fitted, USCG approved pfd, water shoes and a helmet for the best results! Photo for attention.
