Friends of Graner Park

Friends of Graner Park Graner Park is located 19 miles South of Mandan on 1806. It has a public boat ramp, fish cleaning station along with electrical and primitive camping sites.

We love the park and want to keep you informed. We are not part of Morton County Park board, In 2011, Graner Park was devastated by the Missouri River flood. The park looked like a total loss. Trees were gone or dead. There was debris everywhere and sand everywhere you looked. Before the flood, Graner Park had 27 electrical sites. Today, because of the hard work from Morton County works and some v

olunteers Graner Park has 75 electrical sites. Additional, vault toilets, potable water, a double dump station, and more playground equipment. There is 3 picnic shelters, a boat ramp, and fish cleaning station. Camping fees are $20 per night for electrical and $10 per night for primitive camping. Sites are first come first serve. There is a group site where you have to have 4 campers but can have more. This site can be reserved and you pay it in advance. You can also reserve the picnic shelters for $20 a day. The Mandan Moose Lodge is providing a new flag pole that was broken during a storm last summer, along with a plaque in honor of Glen Finck. Everything is on order. I will update when things will be installed.

An idea of a bench along the river by the boat dock with Glen's name has been floating around. Randy Graner checked prices and it would be around $2500. If anyone would like to help with this, Randy will collect donations.

Anything is appreciated and if you would like to make a donation, give it to Randy Graner or the CampHost, Kevin. Please give your name and a phone number in case an issue prevents the bench and we can return your money.

There are 6 electrical sites available at the Ft Rice campground. Still 2 available electrical sites at Graner Park. Plenty of primitive area at both campgrounds.

6:00 pm Thursday, there are 2 available electrical sites. If you have a friend already set up, we do allow doubling up on sites. There is stilI plenty of room in the primitive area. I will have an update on available sites at Ft Rice campground tomorrow morning.
