Friends of Graner Park

Friends of Graner Park Graner Park is located 19 miles South of Mandan on 1806. It has a public boat ramp, fish cleaning station along with electrical and primitive camping sites.

We love the park and want to keep you informed. We are not part of Morton County Park board, In 2011, Graner Park was devastated by the Missouri River flood. The park looked like a total loss. Trees were gone or dead. There was debris everywhere and sand everywhere you looked. Before the flood, Graner Park had 27 electrical sites. Today, because of the hard work from Morton County works and some v

olunteers Graner Park has 75 electrical sites. Additional, vault toilets, potable water, a double dump station, and more playground equipment. There is 3 picnic shelters, a boat ramp, and fish cleaning station. Camping fees are $20 per night for electrical and $10 per night for primitive camping. Sites are first come first serve. There is a group site where you have to have 4 campers but can have more. This site can be reserved and you pay it in advance. You can also reserve the picnic shelters for $20 a day. 🌧️ Rain Helps—but Fire Danger Doesn’t Disappear Overnight

Last night’s storms brought welcome rain to parts of Morton County. But rainfall varies across the county, and a wet yard or muddy field does not mean dry grass and brush are safe everywhere.

The latest U.S. Drought Monitor shows worsening drought conditions across North Dakota. One storm cannot reverse weeks of dryness, and vegetation can dry again quickly with wind, heat and low humidity.

Morton County’s small rural communities cover a large area with limited emergency-response resources. Our fire departments rely heavily on dedicated volunteers, and an escaped fire can quickly threaten homes, farms, livestock and lives.

We know the burn ban is inconvenient for those wanting to burn refuse or brush or enjoy a campfire. We appreciate your cooperation as we keep the larger public-safety picture in mind.

As of Tuesday morning, September, 1st, we have 22 campers plugged into electrical sites. Remember, there are seventy five electrical sites available, so plenty of room heading into labor day weekend.
