One Of The Most Rewarding Parts Of Living In The Caretaker's Quarters At Lincoln Motor Court Has Been Meeting Travelers From Around The World Who Share A Passion For History, Roadside America, And The Lincoln Highway.

It's Been Less Than 3 Months Since We've Owned The Motor Court, And We've Already Welcomed Guests From Chile, Sweden, And France—All Drawn To This Historic Stretch Of America's First Coast-To-Coast Highway.

Pictured Here Are Nicolas And Stephanie, Who Traveled All The Way From France To Experience The Lincoln Highway For Themselves!
After Flying Into San Francisco And Renting A Car, They Set Out On An Incredible Journey Following The Lincoln Highway Across The United States, Ending Their Adventure In Times Square, New York.

Stephanie Had Long Been Fascinated By The History Of The Lincoln Highway And Wanted To Experience It Firsthand—Not Just By Reading About It, But By Driving It!

As If Their Visit Wasn't Memorable Enough, They Also Surprised Us With A Bottle Of Bordeaux Wine From A Vineyard Just A Few Minutes From Their Home In Bordeaux, France. ...A Thoughtful Gift And A Wonderful Reminder Of The Connections That Travel Can Create!!!

FROM “AT RISK” TO SAVED 🥹❤️

Today, we happened to come across a recent article from Preservation Pennsylvania that immediately put tears in our eyes. (Well, mostly Kyle’s 🤣)

In 2014, the Preservation Pennsylvania organization placed Lincoln Motor Court on its “At Risk” list, recognizing that our special piece of roadside history was slowly deteriorating and faced an extremely uncertain future.

Today, this organization stated in an update that, “The Lincoln Motor Court represents a clear preservation success. Once at risk, the property now benefits from dedicated stewards who are fully invested in its future.”

While there’s MUCH more work to be done over the course of the next few years, reading this update meant more than either of us can explain.

We both uprooted our lives to preserve Lincoln Motor Court and bring an eventual vision to life.
We’re truly here for the long haul and are grateful for everyone who supported the motor court over the years- preservation advocates, past owners, guests, and followers who believe this place is worth saving.

One simple question from a recent guest sparked an idea 💡

Then, last week, we received a call from an incredibly kind neighbor who offered to donate her childhood bicycle.
We thought it would make a perfect addition and incorporated it beside our Office & Gift Shop.

We’re excited to introduce our new “Little Free Library” at Lincoln Motor Court!

Guests are welcome to browse, borrow, swap, or simply enjoy a good book during their stay.
Whether you’re relaxing after a day of exploring Bedford County, enjoying a quiet evening by the fire, or looking for the perfect road trip read, we hope you’ll find something that catches your eye.

While It May Not Be As Exciting As New Flowers, Fresh Paint, Or Vintage Neon Signs, It's One Of Those Important Upgrades That Helps Ensure A Better Experience For Our Guests For Years To Come.

Painted Over The Course Of A Few Rainy Days By The Incredibly Talented Artist Lisa V. Denison of The Drawing Room Bedford and The Compass Atelier, And Her Student, Eli, It Was Amazing To Watch Firsthand As The Motor Court Came To Life Through The Eyes Of An Artist’s Brushstrokes!
